Environmental Clean-Up Efforts
On Sunday, as part of the "Swachhta Hi Seva" (Cleanliness is Service) initiative in 2024, Municipal President Mr. Kishan Suryavanshi, along with members of the HelpBook Foundation and municipal sanitation workers, organized a large-scale cleanliness drive near Kaliyasot Dam in Bhopal.
Community Involvement in Cleanliness Drive
During this drive, Mr. Suryavanshi personally took part in the clean-up activities, gathering over 25 kilograms of plastic waste, polythene, and other litter from the area surrounding Kaliyasot Dam. The collected waste was then sent to processing centers for proper disposal, marking a significant step in reducing environmental pollution in the region.
Message from the Municipal President
Mr. Suryavanshi emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean and green environment, not only for aesthetic reasons but also to support the health and well-being of the community. He called on citizens to actively participate in keeping their surroundings clean and to adopt sustainable practices to help maintain Bhopal’s natural beauty and environmental balance.
The Role of the HelpBook Foundation
The HelpBook Foundation, a key partner in this initiative, contributed significantly by mobilizing volunteers and spreading awareness about the importance of reducing plastic use and promoting eco-friendly alternatives. Their involvement reflects their commitment to environmental causes and community development.
Impact and Future Plans
This clean-up drive not only improved the cleanliness of the area around Kaliyasot Dam but also served as a reminder of the collective responsibility we share in preserving our environment. The HelpBook Foundation and Mr. Suryavanshi hope to inspire similar initiatives in other parts of the city and to cultivate a culture of cleanliness and respect for nature among residents.
